The flashlight design to me just symbols that it was made later on. That it was not made during the 1960-1980's. The 2000-and on with the flashlight design, hardy books, just symbol there newer.

tomswift2002 said it wasn't until 1987.

They're still the same books, just different covers. And the only "flashlight" books that were first published in the 2000's are the Digest reprints (#59-#66) in 2005. All the others were first published in "flashlight" format in 1987, like Tom said.

Although, I will say, that the "Flashlight" design wasn't issued till sometime in mid-1987, since I've got a copy of Mystery of The Desert Giant, where they put "1987 Printing", just like G&D would put at the bottom of the copyright page in the Flashlight editions, but the MTDG that I have has the blue spine with the double head cameo on the side and it is not glossy on the front cover.

Q

Chet was  teaching some older men how to exercise in A Figure in Hiding. There is even a picture of Chet sweating while doing pushups. The Hardys were laughing at him. He was very fat-boy looking.

bozonessinc

Are you laughing at him to Q?

I thought he taught old men in The Haunted Fort?

If he did, they were sweating on him. That is where the sweat comes from!

Chet taught an art class in The Haunted Fort.  The heaviest thing that he had to lift in that class was a soggy paintbrush.
