Ed Gilbert played Fenton Hardy on the 1977-1979 Hardy Boys Nancy Drew Mysteries.  I know for sure, because of the VHS tapes and DVD's of the series I have from Universal, that he was in both the 1st and 2nd season, and I believe he also appeared in the 3rd season.

I can confirm he appears in the third season, as a member of the Justice Department. He gets his new job at the end of the second episode.
