Looks good. What's with the comics though?
A few points of interest:
Looks like the game will have the suspect dieing in the hospital like in ''The Tower Treasure''.
No mention of ATAC.
Looks like Joe is the computer hacker.
Bayport is located on Long Island, close to real-world Bayport.
Game rated for Mild-Language.
I don't know why there comics but COOL!! 8) 8) I love comics! Mabey there will be a book/Graphic Novel about the game. Also It says Nancy will geust star! Is the woman in the viedo Nancy If so that is the first thim we see her in the games other than her legs in that one you can get eaten by a plant!

Hmmm, interesting marketing strategory perhaps you are creating there. Maybe Papercutz and Dreamcatcher should get together and release the next game WITH a graphic novel or at the very least cross promote each other so that they can both release a product based on the same story line at the same time.

I was wondering if that was her as well. Not exactly how I would imagine Nancy, but I guess we will have to wait and see.
Yeah she had black hair and Nancy is suspos to have strawberry blond, but if it is her I'll just be glad to actualy see her and not wine about her hair. ;D Mabey its Iola. :-\
After seeing these (In my opinion)
awful graphics, I probably won't get the game.

These graphics are so much better than the Nancy games though.
No way! :o
The graphics in Hidden Theft are totally pixelated, and it looks like it has no detail whatsoever! The way they walk and the way they move and everything just looks soooooo fake! And the trailer is just really corny. ::) Nancy Drew graphics are way better!
Ah, don't judge a book by it's cover, or in this case, don't judge a game by it's trailer.
I don't really know if the graphics are better then the Nancy games, will have to look into that.

And for those that prefer to eat my bandwidth till there is nothing left...
This is the same as above, just slightly larger. There is nothing different as far as the content goes.
LOL!
I definitely fit into that category! ;D ;D ;D
To be honest, the graphics between the two games aren't even the same type of graphics. Nancy is so much more 2D. 2D graphics don't take as much juice and power to make good looking. Where as it appears from the trailer that there are a lot more 3D graphics in the Hardy Boys latest game. How many times have you seen Nancy walk around in her games. You really don't. So comparing the two is not really all that easy.

I haven't seen the trailer yet, but you have to realize that for streaming a video over the internet Dreamcatcher would have to use some sort of compression to compress the video and the audio. I noticed that SDL had found two different sizes of the video, so I'm guessing that with the smaller version if you tried to play it full screen it would be heavily pixelated.
But remember, when the game arrives on CD Dreamcatcher will have it spread across two or three or more CD's allowing for the best possible graphics with no limitations that the internet poses.
I just saw the trailer and one thing that I noticed was that the rating on the game is E10, meaning Everyone 10 years or older.
Also, Joe's haircut sort of reminded me, especially when he was on the window looking at the tree, reminded me of the haircut that "Joe" had on the cover to the 1970 Hardy Boys record The Hardy Boys/Wheels.

You don't see Nancy walk around because you're supposed to be Nancy. It would be easy to compare the games graphics, and even though characters in Nancy Drew games don't walk around, they still look better than the Hardy Boys characters.
I just watched the trailer of the newest Nancy game, and I have to agree with SkyWarp - the Hardys Boys' graphics look better...in less you prefer more 2D style.
It is'nt really 2-d, unless you just played Secrets can Kill. ::)
Don't you think Nancy Drew's images are clearer and stuff, though?
You have to remember the Hardy Boys has 3D graphics with 360 views, while Nancy has more 2D graphics, so the Hardy Boys would be harder to do. And like SkyWarp said, different.
BTW, have you watched the YouTube version or downloaded one of the ones SkyWarp posted? SkyWarp's are very clear.
I couldn't get the links to work so I want to the official site and found it there.
Canadian and other "foreign" Hardy Boys fans, Gamestop.com is now accepting orders for the game with shipping to Canada and the UK at USD$14.99. I just ordered my copy and the total came to just under USD$35.00.

She meant like the images are more digital, not pixelated like the Hardy Boys game.

Yeah, I saw just that - you beat to posting it. I still haven't ordered it yet though, since I'm planning to order a big order from Amazon soon, I'm holding out just in case it becomes available on there. (can't hold out much longer)
I probably won't even get it, now that I know what it will look like. :P
Come on! At least try the first game.
Maybe, but we don't have all that money to spare, anyway. ::)
Hey, you and your sister could both buy it. What a novel idea (I think).
We are already putting our money together to buy the Nancy Drew one. :'(
Hmmm.
Judging a game on a 1-2 minute preview. Thinking it blows.
vs.
Judging the Undercover Brothers series by reading every single book. Thinking it blows.
Interesting...
BTW, not necessarily saying I fall into the second category completely!
I guess you could judge the graphics a little bit from the preview. But maybe you'll actually like the game. Guess we'll have to see what everyone says!
Then again, it's not like everyone likes the same thing on here :D
Of course you have to remember that when you see a trailer online for a game/movie it's just like when you watch a tv show on satellite/digital cable. The video and audio is highly compressed to the point where, on satellite/digital cable, the image will not look as good on your TV as an image coming from a DVD/Blu-Ray disc.
The images from the game in the trailer are most definetly going to look a whole lot better and not as compressed when you get the CD-ROM since, as I said before, Dreamcatcher will have been able to bring the graphics up to an equivalent of Blu-Ray quality video while spreading the digital information across 2 or 3 discs, rather than trying to pack High-Definiton video into a 2 minute trailer that is most likely only 3-5 MB large so that people can download it quickly to view.
I have seen an "interview" with the two voice actors in the upcoming game. Somewhat interesting. Looking for permission to show it.
Now that would be interesting to see.
I'd like to see that!
Wonder if it'll be a "bonus" item in the game?

Permission has been granted. But it is a much bigger file than the large trailer, so it might be a little while before I get this one up....
