It was a pretty good book. Not much action untill the end though. I was so mad at the very end though. 9 pages left, they have no idea who the bad guy is, and then they catch him. Although I do admire Frank's quick thinking I wish this was more of a to be continued. :-\ Oh well missing twin and dead body are better than a dead bird. So far better than Murder House. Also good to see Chet even if only for a few chapters. I wish they invited Biff to the party, but oh well. And Blenda is back. I was beggining to wonder if we say the last of her. I wonder if she will stay with Jayson or go back to Frank. I give the book an 8.5 of 10.

I wish the author had had some of the Hardys friends appear at the party and not just a bunch of nameless extras.  Where were Callie, Iola and Phil?  Come on, its not like a movie where you have to pay for more actors.

Yeah, I used to seem to get the UB and graphics before anybody else. Lately I've been getting the UB before around the same time as everyone else, and the graphics after everyone. I don't know what's up with the bookstore.

Yeah, I noticed that.

You can tell what I think of the Double Danger Trilogy, while better then Murder House, it's not that good, and I'm getting tired of running down the UB.

I'll just post my rating for the book: 2/5

So far, after reading 9 chapters I have to give the book a rating of: 1.75 out of 10.

Have you tried using Inter-Library loan for the Casefiles and UB books?

how do you do that

At your library just go up to the checkout counter and ask them if you can get some books in on interlibrary loan.  They'll usually give you a couple of sheets of paper (depending on how many books you want, although the limit is usually 3 book) that will ask for the title of the book, the author, publisher, year of publication and if you are willing to pay a fee (at my library, it doesn't matter if you check yes or no for the fee, since most libraries don't charge the fee).  Then the library takes the sheets and at the minimum it might take a week to get a book in, or it might take longer.  Some books I've had took about 2 months to get to my library because they were checked out at the lending library for a while.

i finished the book and i would give it 5/10. they catch the bad guy with 5 pages left. not much action till the end.better than murder house they shoudn't have made a trilogy about a movie star being stalked.

An eBook edition of ''Double Down'' is now listed on SimonSays.com (http://www.simonsays.com/content/book.cfm?tab=1&pid=652643&er=9781439153314).

And it looks like that Double Down is going to be the only Double Danger trilogy book published in ebook format.

That is a pretty stupid decision on S&S's part, just like S&S only released Murder House Book 2: House Arrest as an ebook and they never released Deprivation House & Murder House, books 1 & 3 of the trilogy, in ebook format.

Don't you agree, that is very illogical?  Why release the "middle" of the trilogy in ebook format, but neither of the "ending" books?

S&S doesn't make sense very often, so it's not surprising.

It's so people will get hooked on the story and then go out and buy the actual book.

Seriously, that's probably how they think. They need sales for the "real" books.

Yeah, that's a pretty accurate rating. I read the first two, but don't even think it's worth it to read the 3rd one. :-\

I'm not going to waste 7 bucks on that junk. I wouldn't even read it if someone gave it to me for free. :P

Wow, seems there's a lot of hate for this miniseries, even among UB fans. I don't really get it...it's not THAT much worse then any other UB. Is it?

Its just that a lot of people are starting to find that the books are reusing the exact same locations and characters that have been seen in other books, just with a change of name.  You know, instead of being in Los Angeles on a music video set, the boys are in New York on a movie set.

But, I just finished Book #3 in the Double Danger trilogy, and I must say that if you want to read the trilogy, don't bother to read books 1 & 2, but rather just read #3.  Double Deception was the best of the three books.

I actually like this trilogy :o Especially the first book!

I?m not going to get the third one for a while, but I really hope they don?t ruin it. I find a lot of the time it?s almost a promising story until the climax or the villain and his motivation stinks.

But since tomswift2002 seems to like that one, maybe it isn't bad.

I just ignore any other TV/movie related book in the UBs because this one makes more sense and is more realistic. Especially on how the industry works, etc.

I do understand and agree with the "same premise, change the names" concept but I found that everything in Double Trouble was more three-dimensional, especially compared to the other books.

The 3rd Double book does a pretty good job wraping up the trilogy. You probally geussed the "Big Suprise" though there is a little more in it than you suspect. Man The Doubles are really kicking Murder House's bottom. I have high hopes for Galixy X.

Galaxy X should be pretty good. Joe said so in chapter 2 (I think).

If I were Joe, the is no way that would have let the relationship with Emily fall through. I probably would have looked her up or something after the case was over and Ryan and Justin were behind bars and out of the picture. Can you say, "Rebound Guy?"
