Thanks for posting, CJ. I was, almost, almost starting to worry #16 would be the last graphic.
I wonder what it will be about...of course the name doesn't tell us anything, as (almost) always.
With the publication of this, Scott Lobdell will pass Leslie McFarland for most consecutive Hardy Boys titles written. Of course, novels and graphic novels are different...but still, it's an interesting peace of trivia.
Oh, yeah, have I mentioned before that I hate it when a book has an exclamation point in the title? Question marks are pretty bad, too.
I've made an article about this book on The Hardy Boys Wiki:

Awesome! But I still have to get 14, 15, and 16... :'(
It's actually called "Word Up" ??!!
Oookay. That's actually kind of funny. It'll probably be something weird like a spelling bee.
Oh yeah, or a crossword puzzle.
*groans* Not another of those weird names!
Word Up is a slang term meaning I agree ... so it could be anything
Yeah, I was going to say it probably takes place in a ghetto but I didn't want to be stereotypical or inappropriate.
you're so stereotypical! (and inappropriate)
I guess I could be accused of worse ::)
Actually, "inappropriate" covers a lot.
I wonder if Word Up! might be a part 2 in some sort of graphic novel trilogy???? Considering what we've seen on the cover to Shhhh! that would make a lot of sense.
Hey! That could work. They thought they were only protecting a bunch of kids, but when one of the kids accidentally overhear some spies talking about espionage.... The Hardy boys have to stop a terrorist bunch bent on America's destruction.
What do you think?
Hummm... They did do a ND GN trilogy a little while back but I don't know if these will be a trilogy. :-\

How does the cover make you think that?

Could the fact that the Hardys are in a library being pulled through shelves maybe have something with this???? HMMM.
Books words I get it. It would be coll to have a GN trilogy. 8)
At least in the graphic novels Scott Lobdell spells everything correctly and uses the correct punctuation.
Whaat meen U?
Well, it seems that it's not part of a trilogy, like some of you had hoped. Click the link below to read the plot summary for ''Word Up!''.

Hmmm... Looks... interesting. In a good way.
It's not bad, but do they have to keep trying to prevent murders and/or solving them?
Yeah, seems like same old, same old, although ATAC isn't mentioned.
The high school talk radio host thing seems interesting. I don't know if they really did that in any previous HB books.
Sounds good and original.

Well, in Digest #116
Rock 'N' Revenge the Hardys had to help a local radio station from being knocked off the air by Radio Pirates.
High School radio station? Wonder if its going to take place in Bayport high?
Anyway so far it sounds great!
If it does, we'll finaly get to see some of their school life! :D
i still dont get the book is called wordup! ???
Probaly its the name of the radio station.
Word Up is a slang-term, maybe a show on the radio station
On his blog profile (http://papercutz.com/blog/author/paulo-henrique/), Paulo Henrique says this:
QuoteIn his spare time, Henrique is also a musician in Brazil with his band Octane. Check out the Hardy Boys #17: Word Up! in June of 2009 and see if you can pick out a cameo appearance of Paulo and his band!
I meant to post this here awhile ago, but I guess I didn't.
You didn't! :o Ohhh! Shun!
