I was just looking at the cover for "The Lazarus Plot" as printed by Armada in the UK, and it just occurred to me that the cover art, while the same as the US Archway book, Armada, for some reason flipped the cover art, so that Frank is heading to the right (left in the US) and Joe is looking left.
Yep- I've noticed that before. Armada did all kinds of interesting things with The Hardy Boys books. As I'm sure you well know, the original series was printed and released in a vastly different order than the standard American version.
(You can see the differences at hardyboys.co.uk)
Yeah I knew that about the original series. But with the Casefiles, while I had seen the cover on the internet, I had always just glanced over it and registered it as being the same as the US cover. But this time for some reason the flip finally caught me.
It's funny how our eyes can play some tricks like that- especially if it's something familiar.... it's easy to glance over it and not realize that it is indeed different.
