ATAC does rock! Network does noot. If you don't agree, obey the title and don't post! >:(
I like ATAC too! I think it's great finding missions for Frank and Joe and giving them gadgets and cool stuff like that. ;D I think it makes the series really good. :)

Yes!!! :D
I like them both, but I'd have to say I like ATAC a little bit more. The Network is so grim and ATAC has all the gadgets.
I like the "grim" Network, the Network gives the Hardys a good reason to have cases overseas, but as was mentioned ATAC is almost always in the US. And with a lot of missions are actually right in Bayport, and with ''Hurricane Joe'' and others, the Hardys could have easily found that case themselves.
One thing I have noticed, in the Network V. ATAC battleground, we almost never talk about the Network. Its either people bashing ATAC or people going "ATAC Rules"
I think that shows which agency is better. GO NETWORK!
Listen I know I'm bracking a rule here, but I have to say this:
PLEASE READ THE CASEFILES IF YOU HAVEN'T BEFORE BECOMING A ATAC FAN!
If you have, and still like ATAC better, fine with me. As long as you have read some casefiles.
I am now leaving.
I've read casefiles and still like ATAC better.
(Sorry to invade the thread for a minute).
Well, that's a first, Robin!
Hopefully WARD will kill off the Hardy's and ATAC in the upcoming Live Free and Die Hardy!.
I don't want Frank and Joe to die, just the rest of ATAC, then they can go back to the Network.
Are you serious, Tom? You want them to kill off Frank and Joe? Or just these poseurs claiming to be Frank and Joe? ;D ;)
Maybe the UB Frank and Joe are the casefile's Frank and Joe's evil twins created to make them look like dummies.

Just the "poseurs" claiming to be Frank and Joe. And then bring back the
Casefiles or the
Digests Frank and Joe.
Bigfootman - Then I guess they cloned Gertrude into Trudy and the Gray Man in Q/QT ;) :D
Tom - Wouldn't you rather have them killed off in the HB:UB series? At least the GNs are better 8) But then, if they are killed in one series, are they "offed" in the other ???

Well, you can't really have the Graphics without the regular UB's. So if they were killed off in the graphics then they would be killed off in the UB's.
ATAC Books are more action-packed!
No their not. Casefile books have more expolions and fighting UBs have a lot of talking.
The UB's also tend to have a lot of "oh, lets go here to just fill up chapter space---it doesn't really have anything to do with the story, so lets just go!" garbage.
The way I see it:
Okay today I was sitting in my room looking at the UBs. I looked over the spines of them and rembered all the stories and fun times I had reading them, then I coulden't help thinking of this War. I know there are more of you guys on this Forum and I know after This Means War 1 you guys concider your selfs the winers, but now I think of it differently. CF fans have nothing left to do but critize and make fun of the UBs, mean while UB fans get to still enjoy the books, still have some thing to look foreward too and still enjoy the HB world. So who is the real winner?
How do you know how long the UBs will last? Plus, there are way more books in every other HBs series and 100x more fans of those then these, so...
It could be a ticking time bomb.
But I guess I'm glad you have a series that you enjoy and look forward to. Although I hope you will look at the other HBs too (I don't know if you do).
You...ahem.. CF fans seem to think ATAC fans don't read other HB books. That's my two cents, now don't jump on me.
I'm not jumping on you Q, but from what the majority of ATAC fans have said on MPF about how they have only read the UB's then it looks like they have only read the UB's.
Well, i've read 2005 crossovers and 88 crossovers and originals and digests and I still like UB and ATAC better.
I've read UBs(all), CFs, Originals, digest, ND/HB 80s crossovers, and HB guied to life.

Opps, I forgot, Bad Chemistry and Aboulote Zero and Shock Jock are ok, becasuse if you read Ubs you are used to stories dragging on a bit.
What about the Ring of Evil Trilogy, and ''Dead of Night''? These come after OP but are still fan favorites.

Ever thought of using Interlibrary Loan? Requesting the books in at yor library from another library?
I don't know if my library does that. :-\
I've never heard of any libraries not doing it. All you do is go to the front desk and ask if you can get some books in on interlibrary loan. At my library they will then give you some papers to fill out usually asking for the title of the book, author, publisher, year published and if you are willing to pay a charge for the book. (For the charge there is usually the option of Yes or No, so I always circle No and I've never had any trouble.) My local library has a limit of 3 books per request, so don't expect to be able to get in you 12 or 13 books at once, since I believe most libraries have that limit for Interlibrary loan.
Of course, once you return An Interlibrary loan book, then you can request another book by interlibrary loan.

It doesn't mess up contunity.
First even though DO was printed after OS never said DO was after #7.
Secondly, even if DO is after OS, Danger Overseas says The Hardys knew who Nancy was before they meant.

You are forgetting that
Danger Overseas was #2 in the
Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Super Mystery'07 series, whereas it should be
Terror On Tour that you would have to be talking about. But, even in that book the Hardy's and Nancy Drew are just meeting and Frank and Joe have no idea who Nancy, Bess, George and Ned are.
The only thing that that mention in
Operation: Survival could refer to is the fact that the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew had met prior to the events of the game
Last Train To Blue Moon Canyon from the Nancy Drew computer game series, since in that game Nancy knew about ATAC and both her and the Hardy's knew each other.
Look at my review on Murder House, it is a page long. I am sure you will all enjoy it. I thought this forum was about the Hardy Boys is Nancy Drew, not the girl detective version or is it a good read for guys to??
I think guys would like the Nancy Drew books. I mean Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew go hand in hand, right?
Uh, Hardy Boys were for boys, but girls like them, too. But I know alot of boys who wouldn't be caught dead reading Nancy Drew.
Mmm. Depends on the specific book I think for guys in general.
Some may not be so secure about reading the series, but I think it's fine. Obviously, though, some books or some elements are focused towards females.
I know in one of the older series it kept saying stuff like this in every book:
"Nancy brushed her titanium-coloured hair until it shined".
"Nancy put on a blue sweater that brought out her very blue eyes".
But it's only like one or two lines to describe what she looks like, or to show that she's a girl I guess.
I think Nancy drew was created to make it so girls had their version of a detective series as good as the Hardy Boys.
Right?
I've read non-fiction about ND, but at this point I can't recall. Obviously it did come after the HBs, so probably something like you said. Sound either the most plausible or just familiar.
So it probably is the girls version, I donno, I have not read nancy drew... I wouldn't be caught dead with one...
I seem to recall that in Leslie McFarlane's autiobiography he mentioned that the Dana Girls had been created to be the feminine version of the Hardy Boys.

You should read Nancy Drews, they're really good.
It's funny, girls can read Hardy Boys, and it seems perfectly normal, but when boys read Nancy Drew, it seems a little weird. Not that you still shouldn't read them.
I'm a boy and I like Nancy Drew, yet I haven't been teased.
Well, that's good, Nancy Drews are good books.

No it's not! >:( They're just good old fashioned mystery stories, just with a girl as the main character. There's nothing wrong with a boy reading Nancy Drew.
it's gay
No, it's not! So when you read Supermysteries, you skip the Nancy chapters?
did you not read my comment about "straight up, like not supermysteries?" I will allow supermysteries but straight up nd? thats gay
No. I'ts Not. Read. These. Sentances. And. Get. It. In. Your. Head.
I'ts? sentances? As soon as you start speaking English, and not Ebonics, I might listen to you. Actually I won't. But still, speak English. And it's gay.
No it's not!!! ::) ::) ::) Why would it be?!
It's like how a girl can act like a guy and be a tomboy, but if a guy acts like a girl it's gay. I don't know why that is that's just how it is.
Well, whats wrong with Nancy Drew?
Unfortunately, it's a lot of times seen the way Negative Zone is talking about.
But I think if someone is secure enough, they could read ND. Not like you have to shout it from the rooftops or anything. There's a lot more worse "girl" books out there from a guy to read.
Anyways, the ND Originals are booooorrrrrrrring IMO. Not all of them, though. They focus a lot less on pointing out the "girl" factor (except for Bess sometimes). I think. But it's more about clues than action.
Also, the Girl Detective books have had less of the "girl" factor overall until lately.
But back to the thing we were talking about before. I don't think Nancy Drew was necessarily the Hardy Boys version for girls, but I think it was a companion piece somehow.

For a long time I had about 20 ND orginals and 5 digests, but those Files are where I draw the line. I read a couple or so and welllllllllll I felt embarassed. Definately girl books.
I guess there is not three genders.
It would be cool..

3. Females
No, because whether or not you're gay has no impact on your gender

Some of the Files (emphasis on
some) are definitely very, very female-ish (sorry, didn't know how else to phrase that).
But most of the other ND series are more "safe" I think. Although a lot of the Files are okay too.

Would a third gender be, uh, those born as both or something? Okay, maybe I don't want to get into this.

For your term of gay, how do you refer to it. Is it something that is wrong? Or would it be one man liking another?
If it is the second one, then people could be offended, though I would vote to outlaw gayness, I do not hate someone for being gay. It's just there life choice. Though I would rather them be straight.

You know what? I was just playing The Hardy Boys Hidden Theft and I noticed that ATAC is in that.
