Don't remember if this has been posted before but it's an interview with "Joe Hardy", Jeff Taylor.

I was just doing some little research and noticed that hardyboyscasefiles.com went live in 2002.  That is 15 years ago.   There were of course forms of the encyclopedia that existed before that back to 1998, but in all reality, that was the birthday of the website.

I should update the somewhat hidden about page to take into account the latest responsive version of the website that came about over a year ago.  Some links to the wayback machine to see the older versions there.  Wow, how things have changed.

Yep- I enjoyed that book for the same reason. If I recall correctly, "The Giant Rat of Sumatra" is a famous Sherlock Holmes case that is referenced in the books but never actually told as a story- thus readers are left wondering what this cryptic reference is about.

Okay- I hadn't noticed the production schedule change, but that's a good point. I guess we'll see what happens.

Hardy Boys Casefiles / Which case file?
« Last post by goldie3 on June 08, 2017, 12:27:19 AM »
Does anyone remember in a case file, a network agent says to Frank, "gray had told me to be careful of you, you are cunning" or something to that effect. Which case file is it? Anyone can tell?

Really? Even younger than the Original Series? Interesting. I'm sure I'll better be able to judge whenever I get around to actually reading one of these books. And I will eventually...... but there are tons of other books I'd rather read first, honestly. I still love the Hardy Boys in general, but my enthusiasm for modern series has definitely waned- ever since the Digests ended in 2005, I haven't been a big fan of most all the series that have followed since.

Check this out for Bound For Danger.  Simon & Schuster actually lists the Grade Reading level for the book as being between Grade 3 & 7.  Even Attack of the Bayport Beast is listed with a Grade 3 - 7 reading level.  And this is what G&D lists for the classic hardcovers: http://www.penguin.com/static/packages/us/yreaders/books4boys/series_hardyboys.php
