Chet Morton and the Birch Bark Canoe Adventure
Published by Grosset & Dunlap
Published in 2005

Plot: During the hot summer month of August, Chet Morton is busy in his yard building a birch bark canoe when his friends, Frank and Joe Hardy, invite him on a camping trip to the Adirondacks.  However, Chet doesn't realize until too late that the trip is actually an excuse to investigate a mystery.  But once Chet and the Hardy's arrive in the Adirondack's, Chet soon forgets about the mystery, as he is swoon over by the teenage girl who hired the boys to investigate the mystery of whether or not her brother actually turns into a werewolf.  Plenty of chaos and rowdy adventure insues as Chet finishes his Birch Bark Canoe and helps the Hardy's track down the real reason behind the werewolf.

Review:   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Okay, enough of that.   :D :D :D :D :D  Boy was this book ever so full of funny tricks that I just had to dangle a line around to see if anyone could guess that the book is actually not called Chet Morton and the Birch Bark Canoe Adventure, but Night Of The Werewolf.

But, I'm not going to spoil anymore of the fun with this book.  If you want to see how Chet does acting like a chicken as soon as he gets out of the car (and I don't mean he's scared, but I mean he actually starts to cluck and act like a chicken) then you are going to have to read Night Of The Werewolf.
