The age of the small mobile browser is upon us.  However, this site unfortunately has not found its way into the modern responsive world where you can view it comfortably on any size screen.

I am hoping this is about to change.  However, this type of change means a pretty significant redesign.  I've been working on this redesign for a couple years and keep starting over with not a lot to show for it, until today.  Now I need your help in testing the site on all types of browsers (especially mobile versions).

Before you run off to the link shown below, please understand a few things.  The site is not finished, the design is not finished, and there really are only two aspects of the site currently able to be tested: the book list page and the book summary page.    Also, in order to prevent any issues with the current site, I have created a "fake" section of the site with minimal data/info.  Please don't get all excited about the what the data represents, it is the layout and browser adaptability that needs testing.  Please leave any thoughts here in this thread.

And the part you have all been waiting for:

It works pretty well on an Android too. However (and this may just be my phone's settings), the graphics and text seem to overlay each other some on the test page for The Short-Wave Mystery. (And I know we're not supposed to get too excited about that data, but if that's what you're working on for the site, I would be very excited and very much approve. Looks great!) :) 8)
And I actually have accessed the forums on my phone before, but I generally just pull up the actual site on the phone and that works okay for me. It is nice to have a mobile device-specific version available though.

I noticed on regular desktop chrome (and my android too) with the window shrunk down that the title letters that fall into the basement (like the letter "y") were slightly covering the book cover.  I fixed that.  I was missing a colon in my style sheet for my h1 tags.  :)

Cool! Yeah- it's working well now. That seems to have fixed it. The only possible problem I see now is that on that test page, the chapter listing has "1. The" and then a long gap as it doesn't continue until I scroll down past the cover on the side. (Again, that could just be my settings though.)

Does it do that when you turn your phone on its side and look at the page that way?  (what is your screen size?).

MacGyver

It works fine when I turn the screen on the side. :)
I just usually like to hold the phone up vertically- but it's not a huge deal. (I'm not sure what else to say about screen size- it's a standard Android.)

Does it do it on this page too?  http://www.hardyboyscasefiles.com/series/casefiles.php?book_no=1
