On my new blog on The Hardy Boys Wiki, I've posted further info about The Hardy Boys: Secret Files, including plot summaries for the first two books. Check it out.

It will be interesting to see if the chronology of the Clues Brothers is ignored, since I've found that, even with the Undercover Brothers, Simon & Schuster seemed to use the Clues Brothers as background material for Frank and Joe's early years, whether it through the mention of a classmate or whatever.

But finding someone's missing baseball mitt...that sounds like it is very repetitive of the first Clues Brothers book, The Gross Ghost Mystery where the boys had to locate a missing baseball in an old "haunted" mansion in Bayport.
VHS, S-VHS, Super Betamax, Mini DV, MicroMV, Betacam SP, U-Matic SP - NTSC/PAL/SECAM.  All transferred to DVD!

That's what I thought.

On the Hardy Boys newsgroup that I'm on on Yahoo, one of the members has posted the cover art for the first 2 Secret Files books:

I wonder if the boys are going to meet up with Erin Esurance, from the eSurance TV commercials, for a few adventures in these books.

Also in the official info it said "Eight year-old Frank and Joe Hardy." Are the hardys bouth 8? According to the UBs this can only be so for a mounth.

I think the Secret Files are shaping up to be another Clues Brothers series.

The HBs are eight-year olds? Both of them? I thought Frank was    11 mo. older than Joe. Besides, I like them when they're teenagers, because you can relate to them in some ways.

It seems that Hardys have met the Robinsons.  (Look at Frank, then watch the trailer for meet the Robinsons)

I don't see any similarities, DD.

Yes, your covers are waaaay better. You should send them in!!!
"Hey! Don't do that here. You'll mess up my bedspread."
Rolling his eyes, Joe sat on the window sill and started sawing.
"Thank you, Joe."
"You're welcome, Martha Stewart."

My first thought was, they're not the greatest covers ever, but definitely better than the current UB covers. At least these covers give us an idea at what will happen in the books. Already we can assume Callie at Iola will appear in the series.

I find it strange that this series uses the color scheme the UB just ditched. It would make sense if the UB still used blue, black, and yellow, but they don't...

Good eye. I missed the high scores. So who's Adam?
